Key NFL Dates for the 2015-2016 Season

    What do calendars eat?


    With that being said, mark your calendars! It’s time to KICK-OFF (get it?) football season with some very important NFL dates you need to know! Take a look below to make sure you don’t miss out on any action throughout the rest of the year and on to 2016.

    Aug. 13-17 First preseason weekend

    Aug. 20-24 Second preseason weekend

    Aug. 27-30 Third preseason weekend

    Sept. 1 Clubs must reduce rosters to maximum of 75 players on the active list

    Sept. 3 Final preseason games

    Sept. 5 Clubs must reduce rosters to a maximum of 53 players on the active/inactive list

    Sept. 10, 13-14 Regular season opens

    Thank goodness, right?! Very few things are better than the official start of football season.

    Oct. 4 NFL International Series: Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets in London

    The New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins will square off in London on October 4. We’re looking forward to Geno Smith and Ryan Tannehill going head to head in this AFC East matchup. This will be the third time the Dolphins make a trip to London and the first time for the Jets. Be there to experience this exciting matchup!

    Oct. 25 NFL International Series: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills in London

    The Buffalo Bills will travel abroad to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on October 25. Rex Ryan’s defense will look to stifle Blake Bortles and the Jaguars’ offense in this international matchup. This will be the third time the Jaguars head to London and the first time for the Bills. Don’t miss out on this action-packed matchup!

    Nov. 1 NFL International Series: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Detroit Lions in London

    The Detroit Lions will invade London to face the Kansas City Chiefs on November 1. Alex Smith and the Chiefs host Matthew Stafford and the Lions in a potentially-pivotal Week 8 matchup. This will be the second time the Lions go abroad to London and the first time for the Chiefs. This is one game you don’t want to miss.

    Jan. 3 Week 17 of the regular season

    Jan. 9-10 Wild Card playoffs

    Jan. 16-17 Divisional playoffs

    Jan. 23 East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida

    Jan. 24 AFC and NFC championship games.

    Jan. 30 Senior Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama

    Jan. 31 NFL Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii

    Watch AFC and NFC’s best compete against each other on January 31, 2016 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. Similar to the 2015 Pro Bowl, the 2016 Pro Bowl will be “unconferenced.” There is no more AFC vs. NFC. It’s all about giving you matchups like you’ve never seen before!




    Feb. 7 Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California

    April 28-30 NFL Draft

    The location for the NFL Draft has yet to be determined, but we know it will be exciting nonetheless. There’s nothing like witnessing your favorite players be drafted into the NFL! I think we can all agree that every year the picks get interesting, and you never know for sure what’s going to happen. But that’s what makes it a thrilling experience!
