NFL Draft QuintEventsWith so many collegiate athletes entering the 2014 NFL Draft, the talent is overwhelming! Mock Drafts are being prepared left and right with different players in different positions making it seemingly impossible to predict the Draft.

If you haven’t already taken a look at our 2014 NFL Mock Draft or Mock Draft 2.0, then you should to get an idea of just how much talent there will be this year. And if you haven’t started scouting by position, you can get started with our breakout series beginning with quarterbacks.

If you have already checked those out, then stay with us as we take a peek at some of the players that will be key picks in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft:

1. Teddy Bridgewater

It wouldn’t be right to keep this Louisville quarterback off our list! Scouts have been talking about him left and right, and with the Jacksonville Jaguars in need on a QB, there’s a pretty solid shot that this will be their guy. Bridgewater threw 303 completions for 3,970 yards and 31 touchdowns in the 2013 season.

2. Sammy Watkins

There is a lot of great wide receiver talent entering the Draft this spring and Watkins has been at the top of that list. He came back from a 2012 injury to dominate the field for Clemson last year with 101 receptions for 1,464 yards and 12 touchdowns. Watkins is sure to be one of the first, if not the first receiver drafted.

3. Jadeveon Clowney

Defensively, Clowney holds a good chance of being a top draft prospect. He was on point for South Carolina this season, and with the St. Louis Rams currently holding the number two draft spot over the Washington Redskins, Clowney might have met his match.

4. Johnny Manziel

If you haven’t heard this Texas A&M quarterback’s named thrown around a few times then you haven’t been keeping up with NFL Draft news! Manziel finished the 2013 season with 300 completions, 4,114 yards and 37 touchdowns. He’ll easily be drafted in the first round as one of the first several picks.

5. Marquise Lee

This receiver from USC spent a season recovering from injuries and came out to play in the Las Vegas Bowl. In that game alone he had seven receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Not to mention his outrageous stats in his 2012 season: 1,721 yards and 14 touchdowns. Lee will be a hot pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
