In the first game of the 2014-2015 NFL season, the Buffalo Bills will face off against the New York Giants in the NFL/Hall of Fame Game!

NFL Hall of Fame Game

Just one day after the 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame class is formally enshrined, on Sunday August 3rd, the Bills and Giants will meet in historic Fawcett Stadium, to kick off the 2014 NFL Preseason! So what can we expect in this game?

Competition and Bragging Rights!

We all know that preseason games feature teams’ newest talent as they try to earn roster spots, which always makes for a competitive game. However, in the case of the 2014 Hall of Fame Game, there may be some off the field competition as well!

The Class of 2014 includes Derrick Brooks, Ray Guy, Claude Humphrey, Walter Jones, Aeneas Williams, former Bills wide out Andre Reed and former Giants defensive end Michael Strahan.

For Reed and Strahan watching their former teams compete would be the end to what’s sure to be one of the most memorable weekends of their lives (and may give way for some friendly off the field competition and bragging as well)!

The Teams

The Giants are making their fifth appearance, while this will be the fourth outing for the Bills at the Hall of Fame Game! The teams will be playing against each other for the first time since 2011.

In their previous 12 meetings the series is tied at 6-6, with the Giants emerging victorious over the Bills in the team's only Super Bowl meeting at Super Bowl XXV. The Bills have outscored the Giants overall: Buffalo Bills 229, New York Giants 215, in their 12 meetings. So this year's game will essentially be the tie-breaker!

Who do you think will come out ahead at the Hall of Fame Game? Any predictions on the score? Share in the comments below!
