We know you don’t need an excuse to play the course, but we are going to give you a few regardless! Here are five reasons you should play Pebble Beach Golf Links.

1. Climate

There is a common misconception that the weather in Pebble Beach is unpredictable, making it difficult to choose the perfect day to play a round of golf. However, the climate is actually very golf-friendly with highs that are never too high and lows that are never too low. While there have been random occurrences of heavy rainfall, the area in general does not get much rain, especially between April and October. The summer months are usually accentuated with morning fog, which has a cooling effect on the day. Overall, the mild climate of the Monterey Peninsula makes for very enjoyable play at any time of year.

Pebble Beach Golf Links is known for its spectacular views. From the majestic mountains to the breathtaking Monterey Peninsula, you really can’t find a more scenic golf course. Playing the course can take a few hours, but that just gives you more time to take in the scenery. Nine holes run along the rocky coastline of the Pacific Ocean, which may present difficult play, but at least you can enjoy the beautiful views amidst the challenge. It’s easy to lose focus because the surroundings are stunning, and the experience is priceless.

3. History

The history and tradition of Pebble Beach Golf Links is a big part of what makes the course what it is. The course has been host to world-renowned golfers, significant tournaments and some of the most incredible moments in golf history. Every golfer knows Pebble Beach Golf Links and knows how much of an honor it would be to be associated with such a course. The course has come a long way since 1919, and it comes as no surprise that it has been named the #1 Public Golf Course in America.

4. Design

We have to give credit to Jack Neville and Douglas Grant for designing such an extraordinary course. The course has only experienced a few significant changes over the years; overall, the course has kept its same design and appeal since it was originally built. Pebble Beach Golf Links incorporates cliffs, ocean and terrain into a seamless journey. Each hole is incredibly constructed and presents its own kind of challenge. You’ll need to be prepared for anything and everything, but the good news is, you’ll have the time of your life.

5. Service
