The first race of the 2015 MotoGP season will take place in Qatar on March 29! Testing is complete and the teams, the riders and the motorcycles are ready… are you ready for the 2015 MotoGP season?

After last year’s record-breaking season, expectations are high. MotoGP races pulled in approximately 2.5 million fans across the globe into watching its thrilling grands prix.

Standings After Testing

Ducati blew all other teams out of the water during the two days of testing (the last day was cancelled due to rainy conditions) at Losail International Circuit. The team boasted a one-two finish on Saturday and came close to the same score on Sunday.

Andrea Dovizioso was the star of the show, beating Casey Stoner’s previously held record of 1:54.907, by two-tenths of a second.

Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were both frustrated by their performances on their new Movistar Yamaha YZR-M1’s.

CWM LCR Honda’s Cal Crutchlow led the satellite pack with his RC213V, while Aleix Espargaro impressed his factory team with a fourth place finish on the first day of testing.

Monster Tech 3 Yamaha’s team were encouraged by it’s teams performance, because they had two riders who finish in the top ten after testing.

Losail International Circuit is approximately 3.4 miles long and includes 16 turns. The lap record is held by Davide Rigon with Trident Racing during the GP2 Asia Series in 2009.

Losail is surrounded by faux grass to prevent the sand from blowing onto the track. It can be comparable to Bahrain International Circuit.

The circuit is located just outside of Doha, Qatar.

A Competitive Season Ahead

The top 14 MotoGP riders this season are only separated by less than one second. It is only two seconds separating the top 22. In other words, the 2015 season is sure to be intense and close!

This season consists of 18 races across the globe which are sure to be filled with upsets, overtakes and amazing champions! The circuit will visit everywhere from destinations like Australia to Austin, Texas in April for the 2015 Austin MotoGP Championship.
