The NFL Draft is always one of our favorite events of the year because we can't wait to see which college football stars will be drafted and in which round. Many times, there is controversy at some point in the draft, but I think we can all agree that's what makes the event so interesting. Plus, it always makes for great debates among fans. We each have our own idea of who should be drafted, by which team, and at what point in the draft, but many times NFL teams have a different plan (we're looking at you, Chicago Bears).
It's also always interesting to see which conferences and schools will dominate the draft. To be expected, the SEC took the top spot once again, but we did see a little shakeup as far as schools go. Check it out below.
Draft Picks By Conference
The SEC set a record with 21 players drafted in the first two rounds. For the tenth year in a row, the SEC had the highest number of NFL Draft picks among all the conferences.
Big 10: 35
Big 12: 14
Conference USA: 9
Mountain West: 8
Sun Belt: 5
