2018 NBA All-Star Starters

Well, folks, the NBA has officially announced the captains and starters for the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. The list really comes as no surprise. The players selected were voted on by fans, current players, and media. There are five starters from the East and the West. These ten players will be divided among the two teams along with the additional reserves announced next week.

The Captains

The rivalry continues ­– Stephen Curry and LeBron James will be the 2018 All-Star Captains. Each player will draft from the remaining players to create two teams. This is the 14th consecutive year James has been named an All-Star. We’re excited to see who ends up on each team once these two go head to head in the draft.

The Starters

With fans accounting for 50% of the vote and current players & media accounting for 25% of each, here are your 2018 NBA All-Star Starters:

East Starters: Giannis Antetokounmpo, DeMar DeRozan, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Joel Embiid

West Starters: Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, James Harden, DeMarcus Cousins

The elite of NBA we’re chosen, as always, the top scorers were picked in the starting group. Harden, Antetokounmpo, James, Davis, Durant, Cousins and DeRozan are 7 of the top ten scorers in the league. Curry and James are legends and will make fantastic captains this year. Most notably missing from the roster currently is Russel Westbrook and Jimmy Butler.
