When the NFL announced that the 2014 Pro Bowl would be “unconferenced” and completely unique to previous years, they weren’t kidding! The days of AFC vs. NFC are in the past and last night we watched as the first-ever Pro Bowl Draft was completed.
The teams are now set, and let me be the first to say that we are going to have quite a game on our hands! With unexpected teams and match-ups never seen before, the 2014 Pro Bowl has been created to excite fans!
Take a look at what happened in the 2014 Pro Bowl Draft and get a sneak peek of what will be taking place this weekend in Hawaii!
First and foremost, if you didn’t already know from all of the 2014 Pro Bowl chatter, NFL Legends Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders are serving as the “alumni captains” for the game. This places them in charge of selecting team captains to help them draft their roster.
Captain pairings were decided by vote totals creating the pairs of J.J. Watt with Jamaal Charles, and Drew Brees with Robert Quinn as the other.
Rice was given the first pick and chose the Brees Quinn combination.
