Super Bowl XLIX LogoFor those of you furiously notching the days until NFL football is back we’re currently at T-91 days until the regular season kicks-off and a mere 59 days until the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants line up on the ball in Canton, OH!

That’s still quite a few days until football’s biggest game is played at Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale. On that note, sit back and strap in as we take a journey into the future of Phoenix’s downtown plans for Super Bowl 49.

Super Bowl Central

What You Need To Know: Downtown Phoenix will host an outdoor fan campus to be named Super Bowl Central that is free to the public. Expected to draw in over one million visitors, the campus will sprawl from Third Street to Central Ave and Jefferson and Monroe streets, covering 12 blocks in between.

Super Bowl Central will feature live performances by national recording artists, local musical acts, community groups and schools. Events will be football-themed, family-friendly and free to the public. Beer and wine gardens and street-level merchants are projected to fill up the area.

How To Get There: Take advantage of Phoenix’s light-rail stops or the city's largest bus stations on First Avenue and Van Buren. Also within reach Super Bowl Central will be the city's bike-share program.

Extras: It will also serve as Super Bowl XLIX NFL headquarters and media center.

NFL Experience

What You Need To Know: The world’s largest interactive football theme park. The NFL Experience hosts kids' football clinics, interactive football games, free autograph sessions, football memorabilia, entertainment attractions, and more with activities and fun for fans of every age.
