Let's Recap

Let's talk about the big happenings of Week 4! For starters, Alabama surely made a statement with their victory, Arizona left fans speechless with their Hail Mary and FSU took it to Clemson with a victory in overtime! And we can't leave out Mississippi State and East Carolina! Let's touch on some of these spectacles.

If college football fans were thinking Alabama wouldn't make their presence known this year, that thought is gone. QB Blake Sims came into Saturday's game strong and didn't let up the pace. He threw for 445 yards and four touchdowns, and allowed one interception off of a tipped ball. His fumble later in the game caught him some criticism from Saban, but overall, Alabama is going to keep a great pace under this leading senior.

Arizona was down 31-13 to the Bears at the end of the third quarter, but the Wildcats rallied and outscored the Bears 36-14 in the fourth. Even though this was an incredible comeback, it was the last second Hail Mary that blew minds and won the game. See the Hail Mary play:

When it comes to the Florida State vs Clemson match-up, where do we even begin? The reigning champions entered the game with some team issues and the problems showed on the field. Clemson held FSU to a close score all the way into overtime and somehow the Seminoles managed to come out on top. Regardless of how pretty is was, the 2014 champs now hold a 19 game winning streak heading into Week 5 and that's a big deal.

Mississippi State's victory over LSU was huge for several reasons. The Bulldogs had not defeated LSU since 1999, and head coach Dan Mullen had never defeated them. Additionally, the average margin of defeat was 20 points. Well, Mississippi State found victory in Death Valley at night and QB Dan Prescott relentlessly ran attack for 302 yards. It was a big day for the Bulldogs!

There is no denying that ECU did damage to UNC's big name rep this week. East Carolina pulled 789 yards of offense on 97 plays and won 70-41 over North Carolina. To make the victory even sweeter, it's not like the Pirates just ran or threw to victory - they did it all! ECU completely stomped on the Tarheels and it's high time college football fans keep a hard eye on these boys.
