2015 Pro Bowl Recap
Team Irvin planned some highly offensive moves at the start of the game with Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo leading the team. The team saw a 61-yard drive capped out with a field goal, taking a quick lead.
While they saw success early, so did Team Carter, led by Colts' QB Andrew Luck. Luck found four different wide-outs with each pass, resulting in a 17-yard TD by Panthers' tight end Greg Olsen.
Team Irvin switched out QBs after, bringing in Detroit's Matthew Stafford, who brought the squad to the 10-yard line with a pass to Golden Tate. Then, with a pass into the endzone to Emmanuel Sanders, Team Irvin once again took the lead.
However, right before the second quarter, Team Carter scored again with a Luck/T.Y. Hilton combo.
Team Irvin brought Stafford back in during the second quarter where he connected a 48-yard pass to Odell Beckham Jr., a 29-yard pass to Sanders and a six-yard pass for the TD to Jimmy Graham.
Now behind six points, Team Irvin answered back. Drew Brees completed all five of his passing attempts ending with a 75-yard scoring drive with Jordy Nelson on the other end. Going into the half, Team Carter was still in the lead, 20-19.
At the start of the third, Stafford fumbled on his own 22-yard line resulting in a TD from Brees to Olsen. Shortly after, the Detroit QB fumbled again and was replaced by Matt Ryan with a goal to get Team Irvin back in it.
Ryan entered strong, finding Mark Ingram for 80-yards in 10 plays and then finding Sanders for the TD. This brought Team Irvin only three points behind Team Carter.
In the fourth, Carter brought in Bengals QB Andy Dalton, but he failed to move the ball allowing Ryan to capitalize. The Falcons' QB took his time moving the ball up the field, finding Graham for the touchdown with only three minutes left in the 2015 Pro Bowl. This put Team Irvin back in the lead!
Dalton and Team Carter weren't ready to admit defeat, however, and the team moved the ball up the field until Dalton couldn't complete his passes. Team Carter was then forced to turn the ball over on downs.
And that was all she wrote! Team Irvin tasted sweet, sweet victory in the 2015 Pro Bowl! Matthew Stafford and J.J. Watt were named the offensive and defensive MVPs.
