January 28, 2015

The most important Sunday in sports is finally here! This weekend, the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, 2015 AFC and NFC Champions, will be going head-to-head for the title of Super Bowl XLIX Champion! Both worthy of the title, this game is certain to be a battle.

Regardless of if you're pulling for the Patriots or the Seahawks, we're going to have an epic game on our hands, folks. Similar to Super Bowl XLVIII, Super Bowl 2015 has once again pinned the best offense vs the best defense in the league. Last year, we all watched as the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning fell hard against Seattle's brick wall of a defense.

Now, whether Tom Brady can lead the Pats to find holes in Seattle's defense... who knows? Whether Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense come out flat the way they did in the NFC Championship Game against the Packers, only time will tell. The 2015 Super Bowl title is truly up for grabs between these teams!

Read on for the five things you need to know heading into Super Bowl XLIX weekend!

1. Predicting the Outcome of Super Bowl 2015

If you've been combing through articles on the web surrounding potential outcomes of the Super Bowl like I have, it's save to assume you've seen a variety of predictions. Fair enough. Picking a winner out of a New England vs Seattle match-up isn't an easy task.

super bowl seahawks nfl on location quintevents resized 600Brady and the Patriots are not new to Super Bowl glory. New England has earned six trips to the Super Bowl and has won three of them. Additionally, this Pats QB has earned Super Bowl MVP honors twice in his career, and Brady is one of two NFL players, the other being Joe Montana, who has ever earned NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP multiple times. For New England, their offensive game is there. Plus, defensively, the Pats are not new to countering a rushing game. Bill Belichick will keep his corners out on an island all day long.

With all that being said, Seattle's defense is known to be the best in the NFL, with a short slip in their NFC Championship match against the Packers. The Seahawks defense is a big part of why they made it to last year's Super Bowl and it's most definitely how they kept the Broncos out of the game. Manning and Brady share a lot of similarities and if Seattle could shut out Denver the way they did last year, what's stopping them from shutting out the Patriots? In addition, Wilson is a talented QB. His rushing and throwing games are strong, and if he keeps pushing, he might just be rewarded with holes in New England's line.

So, who wins? The team with a been there, done that QB who has an impeccably strong offense? Or the team who has been a trail-blazer when it comes to defensive strategy?
