NBA All Star Ticket PackagesThe NBA released its schedule Wednesday, giving us a glimpse into some of the exciting matchups of the 2015-16 NBA season. With 1,230 games, new changes including reduced back-to-backs to prevent injuries and a loaded national televised platform, there are ample games to enjoy this upcoming season.

After reviewing the newly released schedule, here are my top 5 must watch games of the 2015-16 NBA Season.

Top 5 Must Watch Games of 2015-16

5. San Antonio at Portland Trail Blazers, Nov. 11, 2015

Whenever a big-name free agent leaves a team there is some bitterness that resonates. This will be especially true in this game when LeMarcus Aldridge makes his return to Portland in another jersey. Many of the Trail Blazer faithful will likely thank Aldridge for his time there, but it’s understandable if there are a few ‘boos’ mixed in.

4. New Orleans Pelicans at Golden State Warriors, Oct. 27, 2015

The highlight of opening day features a matchup of the NBA’s newest superstars Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis. A rematch of last year’s 1st Round of the Western Conference Playoffs, the NBA has these two teams matching up against each other twice in the first week of the season. While this may not have significance on the outcome of next season, it’ll be a fun one to watch on opening day.

3. Los Angeles Clippers at Dallas Mavericks, Nov. 11, 2015

The “never mind” heard round the world! In what was one of the most bizarre scenarios of NBA free agency, DeAndre Jordan changed his mind about joining the Dallas Mavericks after verbally agreeing to a contract. This game will be his first appearance in Dallas since his “Indecision,” and the first opportunity for Mavericks to let Jordan know how they feel. It may be the tensest NBA game of the season.

2. Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors, Christmas Day

On the first day of Christmas the NBA gave to me: a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals. I apologize for the singing!

As what has become a NBA tradition, the NBA features a NBA finals rematch in prime time on Christmas evening. Golden State, fresh off their first NBA Championship in over 30 years, goes against a Cleveland Cavaliers team who looks to feature a much healthier lineup than in the NBA Finals. The Cavs will be out for a little redemption, which makes this one of the must watch games of the season.

1. NBA All-Star 2016, Feb. 14, 2016

The game that features the best of the best of the NBA tops our list as the #1 must watch game of the year. No other time during the NBA season will there be such a collection of talent in one game than the NBA All-Star Game.

In addition to the great talent on display, this year’s edition of the All-Star Game will be historic as it’s the first time that the game will be held outside of the United States. Though this game won’t count towards the regular season or playoffs, there is just something about having the NBA’s best on one court at the same time. Only at NBA All-Star 2016!
