We are just five months away from Christmas, that’s right, FIVE MONTHS! That means you have 155 days and only 22 Saturdays left to plan and execute the perfect Christmas. Now, I know you think I’m crazy, you have plenty of time to find the perfect gifts for your loved ones but five months will fly by faster than you think.

Why not make this year easy on yourself? Instead of waking up at the crack of dawn and fighting crowds on Black Friday, give your loved ones an experience.  Instead of buying the latest Apple products, clothes, or worse – gift cards, give a gift they will never forget. So, what does that mean? How can you give an experience? I have three suggestions for you!

1. The gift of “Once in a lifetime”

Once in a lifetime is pretty self-explanatory, this is an experience you’ve never had and probably wouldn’t experience again. Think of your family’s bucket list. You’ve probably done Disney World already so why not up the ante and go big? Here are a few examples:

  • For the UFC® Lover
Going to a fight is fun and relatively easy, why not take it a step further? Go as a VIP. With a VIP package, you have opportunities standard ticket holders do not. Fighter meet and greets are the highlight of any UFC lover’s night. Pair that with exceptional seating and you have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Pick a big upcoming fight and go as a VIP!
  • For the Football Lover
There is nothing football fans love more than talking about the “good old days.” Name dropping and statistic sharing are a common staple among football conversations and the basis of any good banter between rivals. Why not take your football lovers to experience this in person at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend? Not only will they see football’s greatest, they will get to hear them tell stories about the “good old days!”
  • For the Golf Lover
This one is a no-brainer, take your golf lover to the greatest game ever played! Don’t settle for just any major, go to the Masters®. While tickets are hard to come by, Official Experience providers can get you tickets. Not only can you get tickets, you can get hospitality privileges too!

2. The gift of family togetherness

Spending time together as a family may seem simple and like something you do every day, but I’m talking about real quality family time outside of your normal routines. Nothing brings a family together like celebrating the same sports teams. The traditions of game day rituals and team allegiances are passed down through the generations; honor that with these events that are fun for the whole family.

  • Derby Days
The first Saturday in May, over 150,000 people set out to Churchill Downs® to experience the greatest two minutes in sports. Bring your whole family for an experience unlike any other at the Kentucky Derby® and Kentucky Oaks®. Dress up, tour the grounds, and watch the best races in history as part of a Derby Experiences package. Choose from a variety of hospitality venues, seat options, and weekend parties to fit your family’s needs.
  • Super Bowl
There is no greater feeling in the world than when your team wins the Super Bowl, except maybe seeing it in person. Whether it’s your team that takes the field in February or the team you hate the most, the Super Bowl is a bucket list event. Experience it with your family as VIPs with the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Meet some of the NFL’s greatest players at a pregame party and cheer from some of the best seats in the house with your family for an unparalleled experience.
  • College Football National Championship
While we won’t know who plays in the championship until about ten days before, this is a game that your family will love. College football is fantastic and fun for the entire family, the championship is an out of this world experience. Sit in the best seats in the house and enjoy mingling with football legends before the game.

3. The gift of world travel

If you've always wanted to travel to far off places, now is the time. This is the Christmas of new and enjoyable experiences!  Have this experience with your family all over the world but dont just travel, have an adventure!

  • Formula 1™
A Formula 1 race is quite the experience, the thrill of watching cars whoosh by you at unbelievable speeds around ridiculous turns is amazing. Formula 1 races take place worldwide but a favorite track of ours is Mexico! Take advantage of the killer views, amazing food, and meeting racing legends with a VIP package!
  • MotoGP™
Like Formula 1, MotoGP is a thrilling experience! These drivers do everything the F1 drivers do except on motorbikes. These events are phenomenal and fun for your entire family or just you and your engine-loving other half. The best part? They have tracks in the most unique locations! Pack your bags and head to a far off location for some quality time and fast-paced racing.
  • International Champions Cup
For those who want to travel but cannot commit to an overseas journey, try taking your loved ones to an ICC match here in the states. Every summer, international football, aka soccer, teams travel to the United States for a round of friendlies. Be there as a VIP to meet soccer legends, step on the field, and enjoy the stellar hospitality all while taking in a bit of European culture.

There you have it. Three type of experiences you can give this holiday season. Don’t just give the tickets though, give the whole package.
