The temperatures drop in February in Minneapolis, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops! While you’re in town for Super Bowl LII, you won’t be short of exciting activities and things to do in the area. Take a look below at some great places to visit while you’re in town!

Uptown

Located outside of downtown Minneapolis, Uptown is a popular neighborhood where you can grab a bite to eat, shop or see a show. This vibrant and eclectic district features movie theaters, retail stores, coffee shops, restaurants and so much more. While in town, visit Calhoun Square – a 170,521 square foot destination located in the heart of Uptown with exquisite dining, exclusive retailers, and other fun Uptown events.

Paisley Park

A popular tourist attraction, Paisley Park – Prince’s private estate – offers tours to the public. Step inside Prince’s 65,000 square-foot home, studio and rehearsal space to experience first-hand what it was like for Prince to create and produce music inside his home. You will see his iconic wardrobe, awards, artwork, video recordings, motorcycles and other artifacts.

Of course we have to include the home of Super Bowl LII on the list. Home to the Minnesota Vikings, this facility opened in 2016 and boasts 1.75 million square feet, standing nearly 30 stories tall at its highest point. Check out this blog to learn more about the stadium.

Mall of America

Widely known across the country, the Mall of America is one place you must visit while in Minneapolis. Take the day and explore everything the mall has to offer. With over 500 stores, a theme park, an aquarium and plenty of restaurants, there is something everyone can enjoy.

Science Museum of Minnesota

Located on the Mississippi River, the Science Museum of Minnesota provides a 10,000 square-foot temporary exhibit gallery, five permanent galleries, 10 acres of outdoor exhibits and an Imax Convertible Dome Omnitheater. Be sure to check out the Sportsology exhibit to get a better understanding of our ability to shoot a basket, swing a tennis racket, throw a football or score a goal. Compare your skills to professional athletes in the Motion Lab, race against a T.rex or the Minnesota Twins mascot, and measure your jumping ability against famous basketball players.

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

The weather may be cooler, but you can still enjoy the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in all its glory. Experience nature, enjoy locally grown organics and produce at the Arboretum Café, spend time in the Andersen Horticultural Library, shop in the Gift Shop to support local vendors and artists, see the Bee and Pollinator Center, and more!
