New York Fashion WeekFrench writer, Simone de Beauvoir, once said, “there is something in the New York air that makes sleep feel useless,” and thus, The City That Never Sleeps was born.

New York City is buzzing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with endless things to do and sights to see, that even those who live in New York don’t feel as though they’ve seen everything. From the breathtaking views, historic museums, fascinating people and so much more, you can be sure every day of your visit will be filled with excitement.

They say you can’t see all of New York City in one day but taking a boat out on the Hudson River will give you a perfect view of the skyline. These four-hour tours bring you to the island for the opportunity to wander the grounds and see Lady Liberty up close. You can go inside the base of the statue and up to the observation deck for a breathtaking view of the city. After greeting Lady Liberty, the ferry will then take guests to Ellis Island for the chance to bask in the history of the immigration that took place there between 1892 and 1954. You will have the opportunity to wander the great hall and view exhibits that further explain the 12 million people who passed through the island.

The carriage seats up to four people including a Central Park connoisseur, who will point out historical sites around the park, as well as where certain movies were filmed. During New York Fashion Week, it is also likely there will be photoshoots going on throughout the park that you may ride past. NYC is flooded with eccentric people in show-stopping outfits during Fashion Week, who are sure to use Central Park’s gorgeous back drop to get their close-up.

New York Fashion Week Street Style

Walking down 5th Avenue is a must on any visit to the Big Apple, but even more so during New York Fashion Week. 5th Avenue is one of the most famous streets in New York City, with countless stores, museums, galleries and restaurants, it’s hard to know where to begin. If your wallet doesn’t stretch to these high-end shops, you’ll feel fulfilled just by looking in the extravagant window displays that are carefully designed throughout the year.

Both sides of this famous street will be crawling with fashion moguls and models alike. So, channel your inner Audrey Hepburn and take your breakfast to eat outside of Tiffany’s!

There will be moving artwork all over New York City during Fashion Week as people from all over the world use their bodies as a canvas during this glamourous event week. However, if you’d like to see a different type of art, one of the museums located on 5th Avenue is the exquisite Metropolitan Museum of Art. This sensational museum displays over 5000 years of art through all cultures and time periods and covers over 2 million square feet. This is the place where art comes alive, reveals new ideas, and unexpected connections between cultures. Walk up those famous steps and immerse yourself in history at the MET.

On the 70th floor in the Rockefeller Building there are 360-degree views of New York City from different indoor and outdoor viewing decks. Top of the Rock visitors are given a guided tour ticket option, where you will be assigned a tour guide who will walk you through the views and provide you with a detailed history of the Rockefeller building.
