The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series will likely feature a total of six events in 2016 – although, only five have been confirmed at this time. The series kicked off in Oman and continues in New York in the beginning of May. Take a look below at where and when the America’s Cup World Series events will take place.

New York, USA | May 6-8, 2016

The America’s Cup returns to New York after 96 years away. From 1870 through 1920, racing took place in New York then moved to Newport, Rhode Island in 1930, where it remained until the United States lost the Cup in 1983.

Practice scoring will take place on May 6, with point-scoring races on the weekend of May 7-8. The racing will be on the lower Hudson River off the Battery Park City Esplanade (between the Pier 25 basin to the north and The Battery to the south). The Event Village, located at Brookfield Place Waterfront Plaza, will provide a vantage point to watch the racing.

The America’s Cup Legends Club provides racing views from the 14th level of Brookfield Place; they also feature gourmet food, premium beverages and more.

Chicago, USA | June 10-12, 2016

Lake Michigan was chosen as the first freshwater venue to host the America’s Cup racing in the event’s 164-year history. Navy Pier will serve as its headquarters and include a ticketed viewing area, entertainment and VIP hospitality areas.

The Elite Corporate Hospitality Package includes access to exclusive race viewing areas, interactive engagements, premium food and beverage, and more – all in a luxurious environment.

Portsmouth, UK | July 21-24, 2016

The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series in Portsmouth takes place on the Southsea Common. You can view the racing action from the family-friendly Race Village. If you so choose, you can upgrade to the Premier Grandstand for fantastic views of the race course plus access to the Race Village.

To join like-minded sailing fans, you can get access to the Sailors Lounge, which includes Race Village entrance, Premier Grandstand seat and access to a private bar with guest speakers and a lunch and drinks voucher.

The Victory Lounge is the only official VIP hospitality offered at the Portsmouth event. You are guaranteed the best seats in the house in the waterfront Pavilion.
