    Tom Watson

Tom Watson is one of golf’s most iconic players. Throughout his career he clinched eight major championships including five victories at The Open, two wins at The Masters® and one of the most dramatic U.S. Open victories in history. Watson is well-known for his longevity, at the age of almost sixty. 26 years after his last major championship win, he led the second and third rounds at The Open Championship in 2009 but lost in a four-hole playoff. The result didn’t matter as it was the talent and the drive that impressed the world.
Watson is regarded as one of the greatest links players of all time, which he lives up to with his five wins at The Open Championship. He was named PGA Player of the year six times, trailing only Tiger Woods who has been named this prestigious honor 11 times, proving just how legendary he really is. Watson was inducted in to the Golf Hall of Fame in 1988.

    The Masters®, 1977

At the young age of 27, Tom Watson claimed his first of two wins at The Masters Golf Tournament®, two strokes ahead of runner-up, Jack Nicklaus. After 68 holes, the two were tied until Watson birdied the 17th hole to take the lead after Nicklaus bogeyed the final hole. Going into the final day, the Golden Bear was trailing by 3 but birded seven of the first 15 holes to make Watson nervous. Responding with a 20-foot putt, Watson was the newest owner of a coveted Green Jacket.
